About

Well, the inaugural Born-Free Texas is in the books! Our little experiment in East Texas went well for the trial run this past October, thanks to everyone that joined us! What we learned is that there is a demand for our brand of fun with and around two-wheels that is more centrally located in this great country of ours.  But! We are still looking for all the antique motorcycles, old school traditional choppers and bobbers, past Born-Free participants/winners/Invited Builders/giveaway bikes and yes even newer performance bikes/FXR/Dynas that we can find going forward!

We have 120 acres of ground to fill and use at the Yellow Rose Canyon event site in Mt. Enterprise, TX which is two hours east of Dallas, two hours north of Houston, 60 miles west of Shreveport. It is surrounded by twisty two-lane roads which make for awesome day rides or to take the scenic route to or from the event.

We can’t thank Oliver, Heath, Audra, Shawn, John and the rest of the Yellow Rose crew for rolling up their sleeves and putting in the work with us to make this pipe dream that started with Oliver tellin’ us we gotta do something in Texas! So stay tuned for more as we grow and evolve this new Born-Free venture.

We’ll have over 100 vendors from across the globe returning, even more live music, Ives Brothers Wall of Death, the 2023 Mini Bike World Championship races, more chopper dirt drags, slip-n-slide, fishing, Chopper Trick or Treat Costume contest, three times the food and cold beer, Cherokee AMCA chapter vintage swap meet, pickled egg eating contest, and more! Just don’t miss it!

Grass Passes & Admission

So, the Grass Pass wristbands work basically the same as they do for our California event. Buying one gets you and your motorcycle into the event for the weekend, if you have a passenger they will need one as well. The big difference with BFTX is that you just need to buy one for the whole weekend which includes camping! So to be clear, that means you can arrive Thursday and stay Friday and Saturday nights as well and take off Sunday. Pretty slick deal!

General admission is available for the weekend pass for those that will be driving a vehicle in, but also includes camping and cooler fees!

A one day walk in ticket will be an option for Saturday.

There are over 150 RV spaces available all year long.

Cabins are very limited, but available.

As always with Born-Free, active and retired military receive FREE general admission with valid proof, kids 12 and under are free.

The event site rules are: BYOB with a cooler fee (now included in the weekend/Grass Pass!). Pets are allowed, but must be on a leash and under control. No MC club colors.

FAQ

Does my passenger need a Grass Pass?   -Yes they do! You could dump them off and have them purchace the weekend pass and meet up with you inside, but just get ‘em one when you buy yours!

Does the Grass Pass include camping? -Yes it does for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. You find a suitable spot in the acres and acres of designated camping land and setup your own gear.

Will there be food available onsite? -Yes! We will be upping all food and drink quantities by 300 percent this year! We want for there to be no real reason to have to leave the property if you don’t need to. There will be some amazing BBQ smoked and prepared onsite by chef Rino! He’ll also be cooking breakfast and coffee. We will have food trucks during the day again as well, that fried boudin and the chicken strips were AMAZING!

Is there alcohol for sale or can I bring my own in? -Yes and yes! There will be a full bar menu at the Red Thorn Tavern as well as ice cold beer well into the night each night. The Red Thorn and also the “bowl” area of the property are considered a “private club” by the TACB so no outside alcohol is allowed in those areas, but the rest of the property is BYOB.

How do I reserve an RV space or a cabin? -You need to contact the staff at Yellow Rose Canyon to reserve these, www.yellowrosecanyon.com
